Without a Clear Recovery Plan, Backup and Replication is Not Enough

ByJune 26, 2019
Recovery testing is about much more than simply verifying that data can be restored. It’s about making sure that workloads can be brought back online following a disaster. In order for recovery to be effective, administrators need to understand the complex mesh of dependencies that are at work and must also understand (and leverage) the concept of recovery groups. Organizations should also consider orchestration as a tool for reducing the potential for human error. Even so, the recovery process can be surprisingly complex, and is unlikely to succeed unless the organization has taken the time to develop a comprehensive recovery plan.

In our latest blog, Actualtech Media discusses the issues that arise during the recovery process and how to address them.
